We provide an overview how other European countries deal with this issue: Six countries, including Austria, don’t allow to operate stores on Sunday – with the exception of certain tourist zones. Five countries have regulated opening hours for stores on Sunday. And 20 countries generally allow stores to open on Sunday with no restrictions to opening hours.
